The action continues today at the 2024 World Series of Poker Circuit Playground with the final day of Event #5: $800 Mystery Bounty. The fifth of 15 circuit events attracted a field of 318 entrants to generate a prize pool of $221,010, smashing the $100,000 guarantee. Only 48 players managed to find a bag at the end of yesterday's day 1 and advance to the final day. Those players have all locked up a min-cash of $600 and will have a shot at both the top prize of $22,000 and $50,000 top bounty.
Chun Kit Kwan bagged the overall chip lead going into Day 2, finishing Day 1 with 597,000 chips, worth just under 100 big blinds going into the final day. Kwan, who just two days ago entered the final day of the $400 Monster Stack with the overall chip lead, is most closely followed by Mitchell Dredge (554,000) and Jimmy Setna (534,000). Setna is no stranger to success in large tournament fields, having finished 15th in the 2022 WSOP Main Event for $410,000.
