WSOP Global Casino Champ Bites the Dust

AJ Kelsall
AJ Kelsall

Level 24 (20,000/40,000/40,000)

After a player opened with a raise, 2020 WSOP Global Casino Champ AJ Kelsall three-bet jammed for 690,000. The original raiser called with {a-}{q-} and was well ahead of Kelsall's {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The {10-}{9-}{6-Hearts} flop gave Kelsall a gutshot straight draw, and the {a-Hearts} turn added a flush draw to the mix.

Unfortunately for him, the river was a brick and Kelsall was eliminated in 25th place for $8,366.

Shorr Bows Out in 28th Place

Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

We missed the elimination of Shannon Shorr in 28th place, but he filled us in on some details after the fact.

According to him, the player in the cutoff opened with a raise and Shorr three-bet jammed from the big blind with {a-}{4-}.

Unfortunately for him, his opponent called with {a-}{8-} and the kicker played on a clean and low runout.

Shorr's elimination brings about the three-table redraw as just 27 players remain.
