PokerNews Online Bracelet Streams Begin Tomorrow

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
PokerNews Twitch
PokerNews Twitch

Starting July 1, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will begin hosting daily online gold bracelet events on WSOP.com. There will be 33 bracelets awarded over 32 days, and PokerNews is excited to announce we’ll not only be live reporting all the action but also offering poker fans daily live streams.

Every day, viewers at home will have access to watching the biggest names hunt for bracelets. In conjunction with PokerNews, Jeff Platt will host early action from each tournament at twitch.tv/jeffplatt, starting around the money bubble each day and taking players all the way to the final table.

“I am thrilled to team up with PokerNews to present coverage of the 2021 WSOP Online,” said Platt, who is a co-host of the PokerNews Podcast. “We learned last year that the prestige of bracelet events draws an incredibly passionate audience on Twitch. I can’t wait to interact with that audience again as we crown poker’s newest champions.”

After Platt’s streams, coverage will then shift to twitch.tv/pokernews where PokerNews’ own Jesse Fullen will cover final table action alongside a rotating cast of co-hosts including Alec Torelli, Ryan Laplante, Jesse Sylvia, KL Cleeton, Rampage Poker, and Jaman Burton, among others. The streams will also be featured on YouTube and Facebook.

“WSOP Online will certainly be the biggest online series of the year in the USA. We’re thrilled PokerNews has again stepped up to provide fans a way to follow the action,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the WSOP. “Jeff Platt’s personal streams were a highlight of last year’s online series and we have no doubt the PokerNews final table streams will be an entertaining watch.”

Veksler Wins Small Big Stack Battle

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action was on the turn as the board read {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

The pot was about 70,000 and Frank Funaro bet 60,000. Pavlo Veksler check-called from the big blind.

The river came up the {2-Spades}. Both players checked the river after each thought for a bit.

Veksler showed the {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} which was the winning hand as Funaro mucked his hand.

Josephy Rivers Broadway to Eliminate Tolpingcul

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

Nils Tolpingcul was all in preflop from the cutoff and was called by Cliff Josephy from the big blind.

Cliff Josephy: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Nils Tolpingcul: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Tolpingcul was in the lead with his made hand but the {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop gave him a sweat as it gave Josephy more outs with the broadway draw.

Tolpingcul didn't mind seeing the {8-Diamonds} fall on the turn but the {q-Spades} river completed broadway for Josephy and ended his tournament.

Nawabi Calls River

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river. The board read {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}. From the big blind, Anuj Agarwal bet 35,000 into a pot of about 60,000.

Yosif Nawabi considered it for a few moments before making the call. Agarwal turned over the {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, while Nawabi had the winner with {j-}{j-} and collected the early pot.

McClelland Falls to Bicknell

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jack McClelland
Jack McClelland

Kristen Bicknell raised to 12,000 from middle position, Harrison Gimbel three-bet to 36,000 from the hijack and Jack McClelland called off his 34,000 stack on the button.

Action folded back around to Bicknell who five-bet to 80,000 and Gimbel gave her stone look before mucking his hand.

Kristen Bicknell: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Jack McClelland: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

McClelland woke up with a premium hand and although it was inferior to Bicknell's pocket kings, the {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop wasn't horrible for McClelland as it gave him four more outs with a gutshot straight draw.

Unfortunately for the McClelland, neither the {9-Clubs} turn nor the {4-Hearts} river were cards he wanted to see and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Ema Zajmovic: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Carlos Alvarado: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Zajmovic ran smack dab into pocket kings and failed to get lucky as the board ran out a lackluster {6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Spades}.
