Dmitrij Fadeev opened the action on the button with a raise to 1,125,000, holding JJ. In the small blind, Alberto Speranzoni looked down at A8, checked Fadeev's stack, and decided to shove all in. Fadeev quickly called, and Speranzoni wasn't thrilled when the cards were revealed.

The flop changed everything as it came 567, giving Speranzoni an open-ended straight draw and a glimmer of hope.

The 5 on the turn didn’t help either player, but the river stunned the table as the 9 completed Speranzoni’s straight, sending Fadeev out in 5th place.

Rostyslav Sabishchenko raised to 1,000,000 in the cutoff. Przemyslaw Szymanski then jammed all in for 7,650,000 on the button before Fadeev reshoved in the big blind.

Sabishchenko quickly got out of the way as the other players tabled their cards.

It was looking like Szymanski needed an ace to double up but instead he flopped two queens on QQ8 for a massive lead.

The J turn did bring Fadeev a much-needed king, and the Q river granted Szymanski four of a kind to win the pot in style.

Speranzoni Sniffs Out Sabishchenko's Bluff to Scoop the Pot

Level 37 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Rostyslav Sabishchenko kicked off the action from under the gun, raising to 1,000,000 with KQ. The table folded around to Alberto Speranzoni in the big blind, who found A4 and opted to defend.

The flop came down A8Q, giving both players a piece of the board. Sabishchenko, holding second pair, took the lead with a bet of 500,000, and Speranzoni, with top pair, quickly called.

Both players checked the 10 on the turn.

On the 2 river, Speranzoni checked again, and Sabishchenko attempted to bluff with a bet of 1,000,000. After some consideration, Speranzoni, confidently saying, "I can beat king-queen," made the call and scooped the pot.

Daniel Trunk raised his button to 900,000 before Georg Strebel piled in his 3,500,000 remaining chips from the small blind.

Trunk instantly called once the action was back on him, putting Strebel at risk of being the next elimination.

The QJQ flop provided some chop outs, but the 10 turn left Strebel drawing to a straight to chop. The J river did not bring it, however, seeing Trunk expand his lead with Broadway and sending Strebel out in sixth.
