Adams' Small Bets Do Not Work Out

Level 8 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu and Timothy Adams had created a 175,000 pot when the turn was dealt. The board read 4A35 and Adams bet 32,000 from the big blind. Adams sat in the under-the-gun position and made the call.

The 9 river then saw Adams downsize to 21,000. Kisacikoglu spent one time bank extension before raising to 150,000, and this garnered a fold from his opponent, awarding him the pot.

Kim Back in Contention

Level 8 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

After doubling up a couple of hands earlier, Gab Yong Kim made a raise to 21,000 from the hijack. Ioannis Angelou-Konstas then three-bet to 70,000 from the cutoff and the action folded back to Kim, who called.

The flop of 47A saw Kim check and Angelou-Konstas bet 23,000 chips. Kim stuck around with a call and the 3 turn was dealt. Kim checked again and Angelou-Konstas kept up the pressure by betting 60,000.

Kim then stuck in a raise to 140,000, more than half his remaining chips. Angelou-Konstas mulled it over before putting in the call. On the 5 river, Kim stuck in the rest of his chips, amounting to 127,000. Angelou-Konstas asked for a count but eventually folded after thinking the situation over for a bit.

Kim raked in the chips and was back to more than three-quarters of a starting stack.

Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

In a single-raised three-way pot to the Q769 turn, Nacho Barbero in the small blind and Teun Mulder in the big blind checked. Ioannis Angelou-Konstas bet 51,000 in the hijack and Barbero then check-raised to 225,000.

Mulder squeezed it up to 385,000 and that forced out Angelou-Konstas.

Barbero was visibly upset but eventually piled in his shorter stack.

"Straight," Mulder declared as he flipped over the 85. Barbero needed a heart with the A2 but bricked the K river to hit the rail.

In the meanwhile, Santhosh Suvarna re-entered as the field reached 17 players out of 19 entries.

Adams Goes for a Nice Three-Bet

Level 8 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress open-raised to 23,000 from the cutoff before Timothy Adams made it 69,000 to go from the button. The action folded to Dvoress, who smiled and chuckled before putting in the call.

"If you show me six-nine off-suit, I won't be your friend anymore!", Dvoress claimed.

However, no showdown would take place as Dvoress check-folded to Adams' 18,000 bet on the 628 flop, and Adams kept his card secret while chipping up a bit.
