Timothy Adams

Francisco Benitez raised to 50,000 and then faced the three-bet shove by Timothy Adams for around 320,000. No exact count was asked upon as Benitez came along a few seconds later.

Timothy Adams: QQ
Francisco Benitez: 88

Adams was in prime shape to get back into contention but that all changed on the A108 flop, as Benitez hit a set of eights. No queen or running cards followed on the 6 turn and K river as Adams departed in the penultimate level of the night.

Ioannis Angelou-Konstas

With some 195,000 in the middle to the Q64A turn, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas check-called a bet of 125,000 by Teun Mulder. He then checked the K river and Mulder bet 526,000. That covered the 360,000 Angelou-Konstas had behind and the Greek then called all-in without using a time bank extension.

Mulder revealed the 98 for a bluff gone wrong, while Angelou-Konstas doubled with the A10 for a pair of aces.

Angelou-Konstas and Maue Gets Shoves Through

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

With the turn reading 10935, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas checked and subsequently check-raised from 80,000 to 250,000. Stephen Chidwick called and that led them to the K river.

Angelou-Konstas used one time bank extension to move all-in and Chidwick folded very reluctantly.

One table over, Leonard Maue opened to 50,000 and Orpen Kisacikoglu called on the button. Adrian Mateos three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind but Maue's shove forced out both opponents.

Suvarna and Heath Both Make Flushes

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

Santhosh Suvarna open-raised to 50,000 before Ben Heath put out a three-bet to 140,000 from the next seat over. The action folded back to Suvarna, who put in the call.

The J45 flop was then checked by Suvarna and Heath made a small continuation-bet of 65,000. Suvarna was not going anywhere yet, however, and made the call. The 6 turn was then checked by both players before the 6 river brought the fourth heart on the board.

Suvarna checked for a third time, after which Heath deliberated for some time before settling on a bet of 380,000 chips. Suvarna quickly made the call and heath tabled AK for the king-high flush.

Suvarna had one better, however, as he showed down AQ for the ace-high flush. He scooped the pot as he crossed the two-million mark just before the final break of Day 1.

Mustafov Hits the Rail; Lin Calls Correctly

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 175,000 and left 15,000 behind. Daniel Dvoress called on the button but then got out of the way when Santhosh Suvarna three-bet big and Mustafov called all-in.

Fahredin Mustafov: K10
Santhosh Suvarna: A10

Mustafov was drawing dead on the 622A turn to make the J river a formality.

One more all-in showdown was taking place before the end of the level on another table.

Chris Brewer had defended the big blind and check-raised the Q63 flop, bet the A turn and jammed the Q river against Ren Lin. The pot by then was some 935,000 and Lin used three time bank extensions before making the call.

Brewer showed 75 for a missed gutshot and Lin doubled for 696,000 with QJ for trips queens.

As they prepared the chip race before heading into the break, Lin declared "you bluff too much" and Brewer replied with a dry "you call too much".
