Quan Zhou
Quan Zhou

Santhosh Suvarna had raised preflop from the hijack and Quan Zhou defended his big blind. On the subsequent 646 flop, Zhou checked to Suvarna, who made a continuation-bet. Zhou then raised to 166,000 chips and Suvarna called.

The 9 river arrived and Zhou put another 252,000 chips in the pot. This time, it was enough to let Suvarna say goodbye to his hand, and Zhou crossed the two-million mark.

Adams Can Not Get It Going

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Timothy Adams had raised preflop from the cutoff and called a subsequent three-bet from Adrian Mateos in the small blind, creating a 330,000 pot in the process.

On the 9103 flop, Mateos continued for 100,000 chips and Adams called. The two then saw the 4 turn being dealt, and Mateos jammed all in, covering the 415,000 stack of Adams.

Adams swiftly let his hand go, as he has had a rough tournament since the very start of the day.

Adrian Mateos: QQ
Leonard Maue: JJ

Neither pocket pair gained any further equity on the K7486 board and Mateos doubled for 1,331,000, putting a large dent into Maue's stack.

Next to Maue is now Wing Po Liu, who recently won his first WSOP gold bracelet in Pot-Limit Omaha.

Dvoress Takes All of Ketzer's Profit

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Felipe Ketzer three-bet to 180,000 in the small blind, earning a call from Dvoress.

Ketzer continued for just 40,000 on the 642 flop, prompting a call from Dvoress. The 9 turn was checked by Ketzer and Dvoress made it 360,000 to go. Ketzer used one time bank, then called.

After the Q river, Ketzer checked with essentially the starting stack behind. Dvoress moved all-in and Ketzer tank-folded after using another time bank.

Quan Zhou

Tamas Adamszki raised his button to 40,000 and Fahredin Mustafov flat-called from the small blind. Quan Zhou then squeezed in a three-bet to 150,000 from the big blind, which only Mustafov called.

The flop of 834 saw Adamszki check to Zhou, who continued for 145,000 chips. Mustafov called before the A turn was checked by both players.

Mustafov then checked the 3 river as well, after which Zhou took a second look at his cards before checking back. Mustafov could only show six-high with 65, which led Zhou to table the winner with his 98 for a pair of eights.

By winning this pot, Zhou edged out a small chip lead over his nearest rival on the leaderboard.

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Following a preflop raise to 41,000 by Gab Yong Kim and a call by Teun Mulder just before the blinds went up, they checked the A105 flop. Mulder also checked the J turn and Kim bet 59,000. Mulder then check-raised to 160,000 and Kim sigh-folded.

Lin Leads on his "Lady Gaga"

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Gab Yong Kim raised preflop as first to act and Ren Lin defended his big blind once the action folded to him. Both players then checked on the 9JA flop before the Q turn appeared.

Lin checked again and called the subsequent 35,000 bet that Kim put out. The Q river then paired the board.

"Ah, Lady Gaga!", exclaimed Lin gleefully, after which he made an out-of-flow bet of 175,000. This move put Kim into a state of confusion, causing him to spend one time bank extension before tossing in a call.

"Lady Gaga, my friend," Lin told his opponent, as he showed his Q8 for rivered trips. Kim could not beat that hand as he threw his cards into the muck, leaving him with roughly ten big blinds to play with.

Kim and Maue Earn Some Chips Back

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Leonard Maue bet the 7545 turn for 100,000 out of the big blind and then repeated the same bet sizing on the 6 river. Adrian Mateos reluctantly called the final bet and mucked when he was shown the 87 for an eight-high straight.

At the same time, Gab Yong Kim pushed all-in on the Q10492 river with 225,000 in the middle. The shove was for 146,000 and Chris Brewer was somewhat perplexed before he then shrugged and called.

Kim tabled the 55 for a flush and Brewer briefly exposed his A9 to play the board.

Mustafov Tries to Pull a Move

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress had raised preflop from middle position and received calls from Ben Heath in the cutoff and Fahredin Mustafov in the big blind. The 3104 then fanned out and Mustafov checked to Dvoress, who made a continuation-bet of 60,000.

Heath called, but Mustafov had other plans and put in a raise to 200,000. Dvoress quickly folded, but Heath required one time bank extension before committing to a call.

The 6 turn then arrived and Mustafov halted his aggression with a check. Heath responded with an all-in bet, covering Mustafov's 445,000 remaining chips.

Mustafov, however, instantly let his cards go, granting the pot to Heath.
