Gilboa Among the Latest Casualties

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante

Uri Gilboa was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and his remaining chips were pushed over to the other side of the table, where Krzysztof Dulowski collected them. The {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board was still showing and Dulowski's {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for kings up were the winning hand.

Schulze Sent to the Rail

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante

Among the latest players to bust has also been Felix Schulze. The German recalled three hands that cost him, two of which saw him open the action with ace-king. In the final hand, he four-bet jammed into a squeeze and lost the flip against pocket jacks.

While he can re-enter one more time, that will likely happen on Day 1b instead according to Schulze. Near the end of level four, there are 352 players out of 406 entries remaining and the flagship event is well on track to surpass the €5 million guarantee.

A completed board of {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} was spread across the table with around 75,000 chips in the pot. Wojciech Wyrebski shipped all in for his last 41,000 chips which sent Matei Lupascu into the tank.

After a couple of minutes, Lupascu made the call and the cards were tabled. Wyrebski held {a-Spades}{6-Spades} but Lupascu turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for the better kicked to eliminate Wyrebski.

Slacanac Takes a Couple of Hits

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante
Marco Slacanac
Marco Slacanac

Marco Slacanac opened to 2,000 in middle position and Dan Bitsch three-bet to 6,600 on his left. The action folded back to Slacanac who just shipped all in. Bitsch went into the tank for a couple of minutes but eventually called off his stack of 84,600.

Slacanac opened {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and found himself in a classic flip against the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Bitsch. The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Bitsch took the lead with a pair of aces. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn improved Bitsch and the {6-Clubs} on the river secured his double up.

On the next hand, Stefan Schillhabel opened to 1,500 in early position and Slacanac re-raised to 5,500 which Schillhabel called. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Schillhabel checked to Slacanac who bet 5,000. Schillhabel check-raised to 14,000 and Slacanac dumped his cards to the muck.

[Removed:349] Takes From Darie

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a completed board of {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, Alexander [Removed:349] checked his option and Vlad Darie then bet 15,000. [Removed:349] check-raised to 35,100 and Darie was sent into the tank before sending his cards into the muck.

The second entry of Darie in the event is thus not off to a great start, as he already lost around one third of his stack.

Zhivkovikj Sent to the Rail by Pettersson

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante
Boban Zhivkovikj
Boban Zhivkovikj

Andrea Ricci opened to 1,500 from under the gun and was called by Boban Zhivkovikj,
Thomas Pettersson in the cutoff and Volkan Alkan came along in the big blind

The {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop brought a bet worth 4,000 by Alkan and Zhivkovikj jammed for 28,000, Pettersson called and Alkan did so, too. After the {6-Diamonds} turn, both active players checked and the {4-Spades} fell on the river. Alkan now bet 8,500 and Petersen raised to 32,000.

A tank of two minutes followed and Alkan called with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Zhivkovikj only had {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} but Pettersson had that beat with the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for quads.

Van Rooij Doubles Through Dulowski

Level 5 : 400/800, 800 ante
Merijn Van Rooij
Merijn Van Rooij

There was a raise to 2,000 and Merijn van Rooij three-bet to 6,000 on the button. Krzysztof Dulowski four-bet to 17,500 from the big blind and it folded back to Van Rooij who five-bet shoved all in for 44,100. Dulowski quickly called and the cards were face up.

Merijn van Rooij: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Krzysztof Dulowski: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} was safe for Van Rooij who was looking for a double up. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Dulowski some extra outs but the {7-Spades} on the river was not one of them.
