Kolonias Left Short and Rebuilds

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A rollercoaster day for Alexandros Kolonias who started with more than 200,000 chips and at one point he was left with 90,000. Now he is back up to 350,000 after winning a couple of hands against Aliaksei Dubrouski, who he eventually busted.

In the first hand Kolonias found a big double up from the small blind against Dubrouski from the button, in a preflop aces versus queens hand.

A couple of hands later, Dubrouski was found all in again in a {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} board with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} against Kolonias who was holding {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Turn and river came {j-Hearts} and {a-Clubs} respectively and Dubrouski left the field.

Jurkow Busts to Mulders

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mariusz Jurkow had already exposed his cards when he shoved for 98,500 and Daan Mulders was still to act. The Dutchman made the call to set up the following showdown.

Mariusz Jurkow: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Daan Mulders: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the mighty ducks held up to eliminate Jurkow.

"That's the second time he made a mistake," Pierre Mothes added in table chat and then said to Mulders "you would never call if you don't have that information."

Pollak Leaves Sun Short

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

The board read {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} with around 15,000 in the middle.

Fengju Sun and Setki Ajruli checked in the blinds. Benjamin Pollak bet 8,500 from the cutoff and Sun was the only one to make the call.

The turn brought them the {3-Hearts}, Sun check-called the 12,000 continuation-bet of Pollak.

The river completed the board with the {9-Spades} and Sun checked for the last time. Pollak now quickly bet 25,000 which Sun snap-called. Pollak showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the nut flush. Sun defeatedly mucked his hand.

Arends Busts and Re-Enters

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jans Arends
Jans Arends

Jans Arends in the small blind check-raised a {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop to 20,000 and Bernd Gleissner called to see the {a-Diamonds} on the turn. Arends checked and Gleissner piled in several T-5,000 chips which had Arends covered.

The Dutchman eventually called for 40,500 with the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a pair and gutshot but Gleissner was way ahead with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Nothing changed with the {3-Spades} river and Arends headed to the registration desk to re-enter shortly after. On his way out, he bumped fists with fellow countryman Daan Mulders.

Ensan Eliminated by Diaz

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Hossein Ensan walked towards the back of the tournament area and confirmed that he had been eliminated, his stack vanishing into thin air when his three-bet shove with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for 92,000 in the cutoff was called by initial raiser Guillaume Diaz with ace-queen in the lowjack. A queen appeared on the flop and Ensan failed to catch a king or any heart to make his flush.

Diaz confirmed the hand and was then involved in a pot against Vlada Stojanovic shortly after.

Diaz raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and Vlada Stojanovic called on the button. They checked the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop and Diaz check-called a bet of 11,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn. The {9-Spades} river was checked and Diaz tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, which Stojanovic had beat with the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Mueller Doubles Through Deeb

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 7,000 from the middle position and Kristoffer Rasmussen three-bet to 21,000 in the hijack. Rene Mueller four-bet shoved for 97,500 and action folded back to Deeb. Deeb took some time and then just made the call while Rasmussen folded.

"We have a flip," Mueller commented when he saw Deeb's card. "You've been running hot!" he added.

Rene Mueller: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{k-Spades} for the river to save Mueller's tournament life.
