Braun Thrives; Galipienso Exits

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Raphael Braun made a big call on the river of a board {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} when Ahmad Achegsei made it 165,000 to go and flipped over {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a missed straight draw. Braun had that beat with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for queens and jacks to climb above half a million in chips.

Shortly after, Adrian Galipienso opened to 22,000 in the hijack and Braun tank-called from one seat over in the cutoff. Markus Durnegger on the button made it 80,000 to go and Galipienso pushed for around 330,000. Braun reshoved for more than 600,000 and Durnegger folded, he mentioned in table chat that he had ace-queen.

Adrian Galipienso: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Raphael Braun: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and with no club in either hand, the pocket queens held up to eliminate Galipienso a few spots off the money.
