It's Bounty Hunting Season

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Players are constantly getting all of their chips in the middle at each and every table in search of those €300 bounty chips while the registration period is still open. At one table, the action folded to Phil Hui on the button who shipped all in, having short stacks in the blinds behind him. Viktor Blom called off his stack of 11,700 in the small blind and the big blind also stuck in the last of his 11,500 chips.

Viktor Blom: {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Phil Hui: {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Big Blind: {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} which sent Hui into a commanding lead as he looked to score a double bounty. However, the {j-Clubs} and {q-Clubs} runout gave both of his opponents a flush. Blom had the big blind covered which earned him a bounty chip while he essentially tripled up as well.

Triple-Up and Bounty for Lubas

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Michael Lubas was in middle position and shoved for 11,600 after Robert Kaggerud's open. A player in the small blind shoved for 10,800 and Kaggerud said "I will gamble," and he called too, going for the double bounty.

Small blind: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Robert Kaggerud: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Michal Lubas: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out: {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{x-} and Lubas tripled-up while he won a bounty.

Cormier Picks Up a Bounty

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Jeff Cormier raised to 1,200 in early position and was called by the small blind. The big blind jammed all in for 17,600 and Cormier re-shoved over the top. The small blind folded and the two hands were tabled.

Jeff Cormier: {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The flop of {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} looked grim for Cormier but the {j-Spades} on the turn gave him an open-ended straight draw. The river was the {9-Spades} and despite his opponent making a set, Cormier rivered a straight to pick up a bounty.

The first break of the day just started. Players will return to their seats in 15 minutes.

Kessler Rivers an Ace

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

Allen Kessler raised it up from middle position and was called by Michael Kosmis on the button. The blinds folded and the dealer fanned the flop of {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Kessler continued for 1,000 and Kosmis called.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Kessler counted out another bet of 2,700. Kosmis still called and the {a-Diamonds} completed the board. Kessler checked this time and Kosmis quickly checked it back. Kessler showed {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} which was good enough to beat Kosmis' {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.
