Foxen and Mateos Depart

Level 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Alex Foxen was down to a mere 10 big blöinds when he jammed with king-ten in the cutoff and came up short against the ace-eight of Cary Katz in the big blind.

At the same time, Adrian Mateos first chopped with {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} against the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} of Orpen Kisacikoglu on a board of {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Soon after, Mateos was in the big blind and defended against a raise to 350,000 by Richard Yong. Mateos jammed the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop for 800,000 and Yong called.

Adrian Mateos: {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Richard Yong: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {k-Hearts} turn changed nothing yet but the {a-Hearts} on the river gave Yong the superior pair.
