Ziegler and Vieira Chip Up
Tobias Ziegler defended his big blind against a raise by Alex Foxen in late position and the flop came . Ziegler checked and Foxen bet 200,000, which prompted a check-min-raise to 400,000 by Ziegler. Foxen gave it some thought and called. On the turn, Ziegler bet 2,000,000, which more than covered Foxen's remaining stack.
The American high roller regular riffled his chips for a good minute before sending the cards into the muck.
A few tables over, Joao Vieira raised it up to 200,000 in the hijack and James Chen called on the button. Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind three-bet to 725,000 and picked up calls from both Vieira and Chen. What followed was a staring contest between the trio, ending in checks all the way on the flop and the turn. O'Dwyer also checked the river and Vieira tossed out a bet of 950,000. That ended up winning the hand without showdown, as two folds followed.
