Kavouras Takes Two

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Juri Zaprudnov pushed a mere seven big blinds and Thomas Kowalski jammed for 16,200 from one seat over. On the button, Michail Kavouras asked for a count and called, the blinds folded.

Zaprudnov tabled the {Q-Spades}{8-Spades} and Kowalski held {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, but Kavouras had the best of it with {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. There was no upset on the board {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the double knockout was set in stone.

Kabrhel Eliminated in Three-Way All In

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Daniel Prior
Daniel Prior

In a raised pot for three times the big blind and several callers, the flop showed {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and two big stacks collided in Meir Avigal and Daniel Prior. Martin Kabrhel was caught in the crossfire and also ended up all in for a potential triple up.

Martin Kabrhel: {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Meir Avigal: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Daniel Prior: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {Q-Diamonds} turn was a massive sweat for Prior, but he bricked off on the {7-Spades} river to ship over almost 90,000 to Avigal. Prior doubled his remaining few big blinds the next hand and jumped back to more than the starting stack.

Silva More Than Doubles

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

John D Silva raised to 3,300 first to act and picked up three callers. In the small blind, Gerrit Muller three-bet to 7,200 and Meir Avigal called from the big blind, Silva then pushed all in and just Muller called.

John D Silva: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Gerrit Muller: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board came {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and the kings held up to let Silva more than double.

All unused prizes will then go towards a separate prize pool for all players that reach Day 2.

Valent Busts Kratzer

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Daniel Prior had been eliminated not long ago and was replaced by Mirko Kratzer. However, the fortune in the seat remained the same as Kratzer bowed out soon after. Down to around 17,000 he was all in with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Vladimir Valent had an easy call with {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. The board came {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and one king wasn't enough to keep Kratzer in contention.

In the meanwhile, Shaun Deeb has also been eliminated on a different table and will have to try again in one of the remaining seven flights in order to earn vital points for the Player of the Year leardboard.

Zukernik Folds the Flop

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Paul Berende raised the button to 5,500 and Julian Adamson three-bet out of the small blind to 16,000, which forced a quick fold from Berende.

Two hands later, Philipp Zukernik made it 6,500 to go from the small blind and Michael Braeutigam defended the big blind. Zukernik continued for 4,000 with the flop showing {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, but a raise to 13,000 did the trick for Braeutigam.
