Böhringer Takes a Commanding Lead

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Kadir Uzunoglu defended his small blind and bet the flop of {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to pick up a call by initial raiser Thorsten Böhringer in the under-the-gun position. Both then checked the {6-Diamonds} turn and Uzunoglu bet the {7-Hearts} river for 40,000. Böhringer eyed the stack of the Austrian and called to see Uzunoglu turn over {K-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a pair of kings with a jack kicker.

Böhringer had that beat with {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and won another big pot to strengthen his lead.
