Kooij Chopped Up; Schaaf Gets Lucky

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Teunis Kooij
Teunis Kooij

Teunis Kooij was all in with pocket tens from under the gun and a short stack called on the button for less, while Jan Mach called from the big blind.

The button had {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Mach the {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. An ace appeared on the board to give both players top pair, but Kooij's eight kicker was no good and he was out.

Tobias Schaaf was more fortunate. Down to 49,000 he shoved with the {K-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Liran Twito called with {A-Spades}{8-Spades} from one seat over. The board came {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Schaaf scored a miracle double.
