Hairabedian Crushing

With the board reading {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Kristijonas Andrulis checked and Roger Hairabedian slid out a bet of 75,000.

Andrulis winced at this bet which caused Hairabedian to start talking.

"My friend!" Hairabedian said. "I give you a big gift!"

Andrulis eventually decided to call and Hairabedian rolled over {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for trip aces. Andrulis mucked and Hairabedian scooped up a massive pot.

Aguiar Slowly Gaining Ground

1,500/3,000, 500

Marvin Rettenmaier opened to 9,000 from the button and Jonathan Aguiar called.

The dealer dealt a {6-Clubs}{K-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop and Aguiar check-called a 10,200 chip bet. Both players tapped the table on the {10-Hearts} turn and the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river.

Aguiar led out for 33,500 and after about thirty seconds of posturing, Rettenmaier decided to fold.

With this pot Aguiar has almost closed the gap between the two player's chip stacks.

Jacobson Chipping Away

Brandon Cantu
Brandon Cantu

1,500/3,000, 500

Martin Jacobson is right in his battle with Brandon Cantu after winning a nice six-figure pot.

The flop was out as {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Jacobson led for 20,000 from the big blind. Cantu called and both players checked through the {10-Diamonds} turn to see the {j-Diamonds} river appear.

The Swede fired 43,000 into the pot and Cantu made a frustrated looking call to be shown {a-Spades}{10-Spades}. He rechecked his his cards and into the muck they went. Momentum all against Cantu right now.

Cantu Becoming Agitated

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Brandon Cantu put out a min-raise from the button and Martin Jacobson three-bet to 17,000. Cantu plopped out a stack of red t25,000 chips for a four-bet that was enough to put Jacobson all in. It was at this point that Jacobson went into the tank.

After a few minutes, Cantu finally chirped up.

"So you were bluffing. Come on. Let's go."

"I'm not bluffing," Jacobson said in retort.

"You're thinking for five minutes. Come on. It's irritating. You're folding, just move onto the next hand."

Another minutes or so passed before Jacobson finally relented and released his hand, awarding Cantu the pot.

Puchkov Takes Lead

1,500/3,000, 500

Konstantin Puchkov was falling behind in his match with Faraz Jaka but a nice pot just now had seen him climb into the lead.

The two had made it all the way to the river on a {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board. Jaka led for 5,000 and his Russian opponent called after thinking for a short while.

Jaka opened {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, losing out to Puchkov's {5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush.

Aguiar Pushes Back

1,500/3,000/500

With the flop reading {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Marvin Rettenmaier checked to Jonathan Aguiar. Aguiar bet 9,500 only to find a check-raise from Rettenmaier. The bet was 26,200 and Aguiar sat motionless pondering his action for well over two minutes.

Finally, Aguiar's first movement in minutes was a reach for raising chips. Aguiar made it 60,000 to go and Rettenmaier released his hand.
