Pescatori is a Threes-Full Stud

Max Pescatori has just won a big stud pot against Christoph Niesert, a bet by Niesert on every street and a call by Pescatori.

Niesert was showing {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Pescatori {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Niesert bets on the river and Pescatori reraises, Niesert dwells up for a while and eventually calls and shows:

{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades}

Pescatori shows {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

And sevens full wins Pescatori a nice chunk of change.

Split Tables

Due to space constraints at the Empire Casino, the field is broken up into three different sections. The poker room on the first floor houses nine tables. There is a feature table in a swanky private room on the second floor along with four other tables near the entrance. The tables outside the poker room will be broken first.

Yellow Buttons

There are eight small yellow plastic buttons on the poker tables. The dealers are using those to keep track of the number of hands that they are dealing. A new game is played after every eight hands. Betting levels are 100 minutes in length.

Vos is the Boss

Mark Vos has come to play. I've just seen him win three big stud hands back to back and he is up to a healthy looking 14,000.

David Williams has just arrived late looking a little stressed out. He rushed to his seat, won a pretty big Omaha hand and rushed away from his seat again to find a waitress to get him a much needed mineral water.

An early dent for Black

Andy Black has just lost a sizable pot (I say sizable because I am yet to learn what the chip values are - doh)

Hold'em hand, Black called a bet on every street until the river which looked like this:

{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Christoph Niesert was the culprit who bet on the river, Black reraised and Niesert called.

Niesert {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Black shows a lone {A-Clubs}.

And Niesert scoops a big pot.
