Michel Bouskila

The player on the button raised to 2,000 before Andrew Hinrichsen re-raised to 6,600 from the small blind. Michel Bouskila then moved all in for 15,400 from the big blind which forced a fold from the original raiser. Hinrichsen called.

Michel Bouskila: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Andrew Hinrichsen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} to see Bouskila improve to a full house besting Hinrichsen's lower full house to continue on in the tournament.

Kannan Drops a Small One

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Action was on a flop of {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Spades} between Michael Kanaan and one other player. With about 10,000 already in the pot, Kanan checked. His opponent put out a bet of 3,500 which Kanaan called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} which prompted checks from both players and the {K-Clubs} on the river prompted two checks as well.

Kanaan's opponent showed down his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and his two pair was good enough to earn him the pot as the former champ mucked his hand.

Boast Doubles Her Opponent

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Victoria Boast
Victoria Boast

The player seated under the gun raised to 2,000 and was called by the player in middle position before Victoria Boast re-raised to 7,000 from the hijack. The big blind then moved all in for 15,400 forcing a fold from the original raiser. The player in middle position thought for a moment before reluctantly folding his hand. Boast called.

Victoria Boast: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

The dealer pulled the three cards out of the card chute and flipped them over revealing the window card as the {8-Clubs} giving Boast the lead with a set. The table erupted with shock and excitement and that grew as the dealer then spread out the rest of the flop revealing the {a-Clubs} and {10-Clubs} as well giving Boast's opponent the lead back with a higher set.

The board ran out the {10-Hearts} then {2-Spades} to see Boast's opponent double up and stay alive in the tournament.

The player in middle position - who folded and announced he had pocket tens after the action was complete preflop - didn't seem very pleased when two more came out on the board which would've given him quads.

Boskovic Spikes Gin to Eliminate a Player

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Dejan Boskovic was in early position and faced a shove from one opponent on the button with a stack of about 16,000. Boskovic thought about it for a bit before he called putting his opponent at risk.

Dejan Boskovic: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The flop is a good one for Boskovic when it lands {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}, leaving his opponent reeling. She doesn't catch up on the {4-Diamonds} turn or the {3-Hearts} river either so Boskovic collects the pot and chips up to nearly 50,000.

Earlier this week, Boskovic finished 2nd in The Star Sydney WSOPC $5,000 Challenge and he'll look for another good run here in this event as well.

Mortensen Doesn't Believe

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Morten Mortensen raised to 2,000 from the hijack and was called by the player in the big blind.

Both players checked the {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop before the {9-Spades} dropped on the turn.

The big blind checked. Mortensen bet 2,500. His opponent then re-raised to 7,000. Mortensen thought for a minute and called.

The {a-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and the player in the big blind bet out another 7,000. Mortensen called almost immediately.

Mortensen then watched as his opponent flipped over {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for trip nines before he mucked his hand in disappointment.

Daniel Collett
Daniel Collett

Daniel Collett: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Daniel Laidlaw: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Mortensen Takes Lee to Value Town

Level 6 : 300/600, 50 ante

Action was on the turn with a board of {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Morten Mortensen was first to act from middle position. With a pot of about 9,000 in the middle of the table, Mortensen put out a bet of 6,000. Andy Lee, his only opponent, decided to call to see the river.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Mortensen decided to bet again. This time he made it 8,500. Lee tanked for a bit but eventually landed on call. Mortensen quickly tabled his {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and his two pair was good enough to earn him the pot as Lee just mucked.

With that, Mortensen climbed to over 70,000 chips while Lee was left with a still healthy stack of around 115,000.

Hong Gets Some Back

Level 6 : 300/600, 50 ante

The action folded around to the player in the small blind who raised to 1,500. Ryan Hong called from the big blind before both players watched the flop come {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The player in the small blind bet 2,000. Hong called.
