No Risk, No Fun - Saad's Move Goes Wrong
On the table of 2016 November Niner Griffin Benger, a big pot emerged that would ultimately end in the elimination of Thomas Saad.
Danny Boyaci raised from the hijack and Nick Abou Risk called on the button, as did Saad in the big blind. Saad quickly bet the flop for 2,000 and Boyaci folded, Abou Risk called. After the turn, Saad bet again quickly, making it 4,000 to go. Abou Risk raised to 11,000 and faced a quick three-bet to 22,000, which the Canadian and now-resident of Ireland called.
After the river, Saad moved all in for 48,600 and that represented a big portion of Abou Risk's stack. It took more than two minutes of consideration, but Abou Risk called and Saad flipped over for kings and fours. Abou Risk had that beat with for trips kings and raked in a big pot.
"Nice hand, good call," Saad said and they shook hands. On his way out, Saad turned around and asked Abou Risk "did I do anything to make you call?"
