Calderaro and Rybin Chop One Up

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Alexey Rybin raised to 300,000 from under the gun, and James Calderaro called from the button.

The flop came {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and Rybin bet 295,000. Calderaro raised to 600,000, and Rybin called. The turn brought the {2-Diamonds}, and Rybin checked. Calderaro bet the pot, 1,950,000, and Rybin called. The {5-Hearts} fell on the river, and Rybin bet 2,500,000. Calderaro jammed, and Rybin called.

Both players tabled the identical nut straight, Rybin with {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Calderaro with {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

Calderaro Doubles in Spectacular Hand

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
James Calderaro Doubles Up
James Calderaro Doubles Up

James Calderaro raised to 275,000, and Artem Babakhanyan called on the button, as did Alexey Rybin in the big blind.

On the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, Rybin checked, and Calderaro bet 700,000, which only Babakhanyan called. The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Calderaro asked for the size of the pot, which was 2,275,000. He bet that much after brief consideration with only 100,000 behind. Babakhanyan cut out the chips fior the call and had it covered by some 16 big blinds, then said, "I call the all-in," without realizing that Calderaro still had chips behind.

Calderaro nearly exposed his cards, and the {A-Spades}{6-Spades} were visible before he turn them over again and confirmed to go all in dark. The {Q-Spades} on the river failed to improve Babakhanyan, and he shook his head while Calderaro flipped over his {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Babakhanyan mucked his {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} face-up for busted straight and flush draws.

Calderaro Takes Some Back from Rybin

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

James Calderaro

James Calderaro called from under the gun, and Alexey Rybin checked his option.

The flop came {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {3-Spades}, and Rybin bet 175,000. Calderaro called. The {A-Spades} fell on the river, and Rybin checked. Calderaro bet 325,000, and Rybin called.

Calderaro showed {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} for the nut flush, which was good enough to win the pot as Rybin showed {J-Spades}{2-Spades} and mucked his other two.

Bryce Yockey won Event #51: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship for his first bracelet, but he won't be adding a second bracelet to his collection just yet.

Alexey Rybin raised to 300,000 from the button, and Yockey three-bet to 1,000,000 out of the small blind. Rybin quickly called, and the flop came {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Yockey moved all in for 1,730,000, and Rybin snap-called.

Bryce Yockey: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Alexey Rybin: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Yockey needed a ten or running cards in order to improve, and the {3-Clubs} turn was a start. However, the {4-Spades} river blanked, and Yockey was eliminated in fifth place for $270,242.

Rybin holds a commanding lead with more than 60 percent of the chips in play, and all four remaining players have at least $379,128 guaranteed.

Babakhanyan Calls Calderaro's River Bluff

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Artem Babakhanyan
Artem Babakhanyan

With about 650,000 already in the middle and the board reading {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, James Calderaro checked from the big blind, and Artem Babakhanyan, who was next to act, checked behind. The turn brought the {5-Spades}, and both players checked again. The river was the {2-Clubs}, and Calderaro bet 500,000.

"Give me some chips back. You owe me," said Calderaro. Babakhanyan took a few moments to think before he called.

Calderaro said, "Nothing," and tabled {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for jack-high. Babakhanyan showed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}, having paired his king on the flop, and took the pot.
