Lafleur Rivers a Ten to Survive

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Govert Metaal raised from early position and Sammy Lefleur got the remainder of his short stack in from two seats over for his last 280,000. Metaal quickly called and, once again, Table 700 was facing an all-in showdown with pocket aces versus pocket tens.

Lafleur: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Metaal: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Lafleur got there on the river. "You knew it was coming, right?" Tobias Peters joked.

Another player asked, "Can aces actually win against tens here?" Metaal took a hit to his stack and won the next pot to bounce back while Lafleur and Richard Dubini remain the short stacks at the table.
