Emory Stays Active

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Bryan Emory defended his big blind against a raise by Chris Bolek. After the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop was checked through, Emory bet the {10-Hearts} turn for 50,000 and Bolek called before the {K-Hearts} river saw Emory with a bet of 130,000. Bolek folded and the pot was awarded to Emory.

One hand later, Emory three-bet to 140,000 out of the small blind against initial raiser Dan Sindelar and the latter called from under the gun. The flop fell {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Emory checked, Sindelar bet 90,000, and that forced a fold from Emory to cancel out the profit of the previous hand.
