Pescatori Calls the Monster; Forrest Nearly Grounded

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Ted Forrest, Max Pescatori, and Justin Bonomo played a pot that saw no bets through sixth street. They were in for the completion, and Forrest had only 10,000 more.

Seventh street brought interesting events. Pescatori, who had open fours from fourth street, led out. Bonomo was next to act and raised with three clubs on his board. Forrest stood up and looked on both opponents' boards thoroughly. He eventually folded to leave him self with less than a half of a bring-in.

Pescatori said to Bonomo, "I hope you don't have ace-three of clubs and another low card," and then called.

Ted Forrest: {X-}{X-} / {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} / {X-}
Max Pescatori: {X-}{X-} / {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Spades} / {X-}
Justin Bonomo: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} / {X-}

Bonomo rolled over {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, thinking he was chopping. "You have that!" said Pescatori, and Bonomo gave his seven-card hand another look.

"Oh my god, I misread my hand. I'm so sorry," he apologized. "I was trying to bluff you away from the fours."

Bonomo Hits a Straight, Hurts Treccarichi

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Three players went to fourth street for just a bring-in price: Max Pescatori, Justin Bonomo and Walter Treccarichi.

Fifth street was free, but Treccarichi's bet forced a fold from Pescatori while Bonomo stuck around. Bonomo himself bet on sixth, and Treccarichi called. The same applied for seventh.

Max Pescatori: {X-}{X-} / {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts} (folded on fifth)
Walter Treccarichi {X-}{X-} / {6-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Clubs} / {X-}
Justin Bonomo: {X-}{X-} / {4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} / {X-}

Bonomo announced, "Straight," showing {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} to scoop the whole pot.

Don Zewin Eliminated in 10th Place ($11,704)

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Don Zewin - 10th Place
Don Zewin - 10th Place

Don Zewin got his remaining chips in on fifth street against Bill Kohler after Zewin brought-in for a complete bet and Kohler raised.

Zewin: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}/{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Kohler: {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}/{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Zewin was ahead with queens, while Kohler had four to a low and ace-high. He snagged the {a-Hearts} right away, and Zewin peeled a {5-Clubs}. Kohler got a useless {10-Diamonds} on seventh to wind up with just aces.

"Two across," Zewin said, which would mean a winner, but he corrected himself quickly: "Three across."

He tossed the {6-Spades} into the air and headed for payouts.

Pescatori Has Three Hidden Tens

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Ted Forrest is down to peanuts again after conceding a big pot to Max Pescatori. Pescatori had four low cards on his board and fired three bets on the way — on fourth, fifth, and seventh streets. Forrest called them all.

Ted Forrest: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} / {X-}
Max Pescatori: {X-}{X-} / {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} / {X-}

Pescatori failed to make his low, but his high was stronger than Forrest expected. "You made two pair?" Forrest asked before calling on seventh. Pescatori had something better with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} in the hole.

Zewin Can't Crack Bohn's Defense

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Two hands in a row, Don Zewin tried completing last to act against the bring-in of Ernest Bohn. The first time, Zewin's board ran out {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, Bohn led into him with {3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, and Zewin folded.

The second time, they both checked fifth street, and then Bohn bet sixth.

Bohn: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Zewin: {x-}{x-}/{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}

This time, Zewin continued with a call, but he folded to a bet on seventh and is now in dire straits.

Italy vs. Italy

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Max Pescatori and Walter Treccarichi contested an Italy-only pot.

Pescatori bet on fourth street, looking at Treccarichi's Broadway cards. Treccarichi called and led out on fifth himself. Pescatori was ready to continue through to sixth street, which checked through.

Treccarichi, however, pulled out one more bet on seventh street, causing troubles for Pescatori, who mumbled something to himself and mucked. Pescatori is now the shortest stack on Table 2.

Max Pescatori: {X-}{X-} / {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} / {X-} (folded on seventh street)
Walter Treccarichi: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {X-}

Finne Pushes Treccarichi Away

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Tim Finne has around 520,000 chips after forcing a fold from Walter Treccarichi on seventh street.

Treccarichi completed, and Finne called. Finne bet on fourth street, earning a call. Treccarichi bet out on fifth, earning a call in return. Finne regained his betting lead on sixth, receiving another call. Finne continued betting on seventh, and Treccarichi laid it down.

Walter Treccarichi: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} / {X-} (folded on seventh street)
Tim Finne: {X-}{X-} / {3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Diamonds} / {X-}

Forrest Climbs Back

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After doubling through Max Pescatori, Ted Forrest just added another chunk to his stack. This time, he took a bite from Justin Bonomo's.

Bonomo completed with an ace, and Forest called with an exposed three. Bonomo barreled fourth and fifth streets but slowed down on sixth. Forrest bet, and Bonomo went into deep thought. He scanned Forrest's stack, shook his head several times, and eventually gave up.

Justin Bonomo: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} (folded on sixth street)
Ted Forrest: {X-}{X-} / {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
