Hal Rotholz Eliminated in 3rd Place ($74,200)

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Hal Rotholz
Hal Rotholz

Bill Kohler brought it in for the full amount, and Ernest Bohn called. Hal Rotholz called off his last 80,000. Kohler bet fifth, sixth and seventh into the side pot against Bohn.

Rotholz: {x-}{x-}/{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}/{x-}
Kohler: {x-}{x-}/{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}/{x-}
Bohn: {x-}{x-}/{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}/{x-}

Bohn folded to the last bet.

"Trip sixes and a low," Kohler said, showing {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Spades}.

Rotholz had a sweat for half the pot with {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush draw and open-ender, but he paired with the {8-Clubs}.

Kohler Cripples Rotholz With a Straight

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Bill Kohler was the bring-in with the {5-Clubs} and Hal Rotholz called with the {A-Diamonds} to see fourth street. He drew a four and led out. Kohler called.

The next two streets were checked and Rotholz checked on seventh again, but Kohler wasn't willing to show for free. Rotholz paid off.

Hal Rotholz: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Bill Kohler: {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}

Kohler completed a straight on the river, and Rotholz had nothing to say but, "Wow."

Rotholz was left with around one small bet or so.

Battle of Short Stacks Goes to Kohler

Level 29 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Hal Rotholz completed with {a-Clubs}, and William Kohler called with {9-Hearts}. Both players checked fourth, and Rotholz bet fifth and sixth.

Rotholz: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Kohler: {x-}{x-}/{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}

"Check, just in case you're on a low draw," Rotholz said.

Kohler just flipped over {10-}{7-}{k-} for sevens, but it was enough, as Rotholz mucked {4-}{2-} face-up.

Kohler Hits Quads on Fourth Street

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Three-way to fourth street, Hal Rotholz bet out with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} exposed. Bill Kohler had sixes out and called, and so did Ernest Bohn with ace-eight.

Fifth street brought another bet from Rotholz but Kohler opted to raise this time. Even more interestingly, Bohn didn't go anywhere and cold-called. Rozholz also called.

Kohler was all-in for last 65,000 on sixth street, earning two calls. Both Rotholz and Bohn checked with a chance for a knockout.

Bill Kohler: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} / {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Hal Rotholz: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Ernest Bohn: {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} / {8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Kohler rolled over his quad sixes. "Four cards, four sixes," he said, pointing at his early made hand. Kohler couldn't grab the whole pot, though. Bohn had an eight-five low and took the other half but Kohler still improved his chip stack with a half of Rotholz' chips in the pot.

Rotholz Coolered

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

With action checked on fourth street, Ernest Bohn added a seven to his open eights on fifth. He led out, and earned a call from Hal Rotholz. Bohn barreled on sixth, but slowed down on seventh, checking. Rozholz value-bet the river, and hoped for Bohn's call but only until the hole cards were exposed.

Hal Rotholz: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades} / {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Ernest Bohn: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

Rotholz rolled over trip threes but Bohn found an eight in his hole, causing, "Oh my god!" from Rotholz who ended up scooped.

Two Pair Wins for Bohn

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Everyone saw fourth street for the minimum, and Hal Rotholz bet with his ace, prompting a fold from Bill Kohler and his {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Ernest Bohn stuck around with {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and both players checked fifth.

Rotholz: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Bohn: {x-}{x-}/{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Rotholz bet again on sixth and then checked seventh. Bohn bet and Rotholz sighed before calling.

"Two pair," Bohn said, showing {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} for queens and fives.

Rotholz also made queens with {q-}{3-}{7-} but it wasn't enough.
