Armstrong Takes on the Flop; Margereson Improves on the Turn

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jamie Armstrong raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Asi Moshe called on the button, as did Vitor Rangel in the small blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the action checked to Armstrong. His continuation bet worth 72,000 won the pot uncontested.

At the same time, one table over, Giuseppe Pantaleo raised from under the gun and called the shove of short stack Scott Margereson for 124,000.

Margereson: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}
Pantaleo: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Margereson got there on the turn to improve. "How do you get tens there? Why not jack-nine suited?" the Brit asked.

Pantaleo joked back with, "Jack-nine suited, I'd call. But don't feel sucked out on."
