Sternheimer Takes from Elias

Level 3 : 250/500, 125 ante

In the first hand of a two-hand exchange, Jason Mercier was the initial raiser and picked up calls by Philip Sternheimer, along with Darren Elias in the small blind and Anthony Zinno in the big blind. Elias and Zinno drew one, Mercier took one, and Sternheimer stood pat.

Elias bet 4,500, and that forced quick folds from Zinno and Mercier. Sternheimer verified the betting amount and called. Elias tabled {7-}{6-}{6-}{4-}{2-} for a pair of sixes, and Sternheimer won the pot with {J-}{10-}{9-}{5-}{3-}.

One hand later, Elias raised to 1,500 on the button, and Zinno called in the small blind. Elias drew one, and Zinno drew two and checked. Elias bet 3,800, and that won the pot.
