Hands #11-14: Riess Pulls Away With Two Pair

Level 61 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Hand #11: John Smith raised to 30,000 and Ryan Riess called to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Riess checked, Smith bet 35,000, and that won the pot without showdown.

Hand #12: Riess made it 30,000 to go and Smith three-bet to 72,000, which Riess called. On the {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, Smith checked and Riess bet 28,000. Smith called and led the {7-Diamonds} turn for 77,000. Riess raised to 185,000 and that shut down all further action.

Hand #13: Smith raised to 35,000 and Riess called. On a flop of {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}, both players checked. The {K-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Riess check-called a bet worth 55,000. Both then checked again the {10-Clubs} on the river and Riess turned over {Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Smith had that beat with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and won the second showdown of the duel.

Hand #14: Riess raised to 30,000 and Smith called. On the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Smith bet 40,000 and Riess called. The {A-Hearts} fell on the turn and Smith checked. Riess bet 80,000 and was called to see the {5-Spades} appear on the river. Smith checked the second street in a row and Riess bet 150,000. Smith took some time and eventually called, then mucked when Riess showed {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for two pair.
