Diiorio Calls For His "Ian Johns" Miracle

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Studs Hi-Lo

Wayne LaMonica: {8-Spades}{7-Hearts} / {3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs} / {X-}
David Diiorio: {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades} / {X-}
Karim Bevans: {X-}{X-} / {5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Spades} / muck

David Diiorio was reduced to less than a big bet after his four-card straight and low could not improve, as he only picked up the {J-Hearts} on seventh street. Wayne LaMonica caught the {5-Clubs} on seventh to make a better low and a straight, and Karim Bevans mucked.

"I want to call my Ian Johns," Diiorio joked, referring to the chip-and-a-chair story of the defending champion who started Day 2 with a tiny stack. Bevans added, "I had a better low draw than him," but could noit claim either half of the pot.
