Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 240,000 from under the gun and Aleks Dimitrov three-bet to 675,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Mateos, who responded with a four-bet to 1,350,000 only to see Dimitrov move all in. Mateos quickly folded to concede the pot without seeing a flop.

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Fahredin Mustafov raised from the hijack to 240,000 and Adrian Mateos called from the cutoff, as did Aleks Dimitrov from the big blind.

The three players saw a flop of 269 which Dimitrov checked, Mustafov bet 350,000, Mateos called, and Dimitrov folded.

When the K landed on the turn, Mustafov slowed down with a check, and Mateos bet 500,000. Mustafov quickly folded.

Reard and Mateos Exchange Pots

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Adrian Mateos and Alexandre Reard are really getting acquainted with each other on this final table and have played a lot of pots together, including the last two back-to-back.

First, Mateos raised from the small blind to 440,000 and Reard called from the big blind.

On the KJ3 flop, Mateos bet 200,000, and Reard quickly folded.

The very next hand, Mateos opened the button to 240,000 and Reard called from the small blind.

Both checked the A94 flop to see the A hit the turn. Reard bet 200,000, and Mateos folded.

Rocco Doubles Through Mateos

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Michael Rocco opened to 250,000 on the button and Adrian Mateos defended in the big blind.

Rocco continued for 125,000 after Mateos checked to him on the 384 flop. Mateos called to see a turn.

The turn came K, prompting Mateos to check again. Rocco fired a second barrel of 200,000 and then called off for his remaining 910,000 after Mateos moved all in.

Adrian Mateos: J6

Rocco had turned a set to put himself in great position to score a crucial double. The river blanked out to place the check mark next to Rocco, dealing a sizable blow to Mateos' stack in the process.

Mateos Figures it Out and Surges into the Chip Lead

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos opened under the gun to 200,000 and Alexandre Reard called from the next seat.

They both saw a flop of Q8J which went check-check to the 6 turn. Mateos checked, Reard bet 350,000, Mateos check-raised to 1,150,000, and Reard called.

A flush and straight completing 9 fell on the river where Mateos downsized with a bet of 400,000. After thinking for a while, Reard shoved, which put Mateos to the test for his remaining 3,200,000 chips. The Spaniard was well and truly in the blender and had his hand on his head gazing at the board, seemingly in an uncomfortable spot. It took around four minutes before Mateos finally came to a decision and elected to make the call.

Reard tabled AQ for top pair with a heart blocker, and Mateos flipped over K10 for a straight, which earned him the pot & the chip lead.

Connor Rash Eliminated in 8th Place ($78,455), Brad Albrinck Eliminated in 9th Place ($78,455)

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Brad Albrinck

Brad Albrinck opened 210,000 in the cutoff and Alexandre Reard flatted on the button before Connor Rash jammed all-in for about 3,400,000. Albrinck tanked for about 30 seconds before calling off his stack of about 2,600,000 and Reard snap-called, covering both.

Alexandre Reard: KK

Reard set the perfect trap preflop and you could hear his rail grown as the ace came in the window on the AK8, but was met with cheers as the king was seen next. The J turn gave both players a chance to crack Reard's set as Rash picked up a gutshot straight draw and Albrinck made two pair. However, the 3 river changed nothing, sending both players to the rail.
