Oberhauser Spikes the Turn to Double Through McCullagh

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Valentine Oberhauser
Valentine Oberhauser

Ciaran McCullagh opened to 200,000 from early position and Valentin Oberhauser defended his big blind.

The flop came 9Q6 and Oberhauser bet 550,000 — leaving himself just 45,000 behind. McCullagh quickly announced he was all in and Oberhauser called to put himself at risk.

Valentin Oberhauser: 87All in
Ciaran McCullagh: AA

The 5 turn immediately filled Oberhauser's straight draw and left McCullagh drawing dead.

An irrelevant 5 completed the board and Oberhauser was awarded the double up.

Lu Escapes Elimination

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Heads-up to the Q82 flop, Lingkun Lu bet 250,000 and then reluctantly folded when Pedro Safar raised to 1,000,000.

Daniel Zadok pushed all in from the small blind shortly after and Lu called all in for 630,000 with the J10. Zadok was ahead with Q5 but the 983109 board improved Lu to tens and nines.

Toby Gibson
Toby Gibson

There was a misdeal at Table 635 and players returned their cards to the dealer as Toby Gibson angrily showed KxKx and complained about how bad he was running.

Actually, the misdeal was a miracle for Gibson as Biao Ding to his immediate right showed AxAx as those at the table erupted and Gibson changed his tune.

"Look how well I run!" he laughed.

Dourado Catches Garcia Bluffing

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

There were already almost 2,000,000 chips in the pot on a board of AKA6J when Adrian Garcia made an overbet of 2,500,000 into Aloisio Dourado. It took a long time for Dourado to make a decision but eventually, he grabbed two stacks of chips and put them into the pot.

Garcia tabled 43 for a total bluff, then Dourado flipped KQ and celebrated by punching the air as he raked in the big pot.

Kovalski's Kings Cracked by Slobodskoy

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Fabiano Kovalski
Fabiano Kovalski

Naor Slobodskoy raised to 200,000 and Fabiano Kovalski made it 500,000 to go two seats over in the cutoff. Aleksejs Ponakovs in the big blind reluctantly folded and Slobodskoy then clicked it back to 1,300,000. Kovalski moved all-in and his opponent reluctantly called.

Fabiano Kovalski: KK All in
Naor Slobodskoy: AK

"I think the ace of spades will probably come. Yeah, likely the ace of spades," Slobodskoy predicted.

His wish did not come true on the 872 flop and Q turn. However, one of the remaining aces indeed came as the A rolled off on the river. Both stacks were counted and Kovalski was covered to hit the rail in painful fashion.

Nezhoda Makes a Big Fold

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Rene Nezhoda opened the button to 200,000 and Russell Rosenblum then shoved from the small blind for just under 2,000,000 chips. The big blind folded, and Nezhoda had a decision for his remaining 1,600,000.

"GTO says I'm supposed to call here but my gut tells me to fold," said Nezhoda.

Nezhoda continued to think out loud and seemed suspicious of Rosenblum's demeanor. After a while, Nezhoda folded 1010 face up and Rosenblum returned his cards face down to the dealer.

"Put that on PokerNews so that everybody knows how much of a nit I am," remarked Nezhoda.
