Action folded around to the blinds, where Adrian Lopez raised to 150,000 from the small blind and James Tsou defended his big blind.

Both players checked on the K5J flop and then Adrian Lopez led out for 110,000 on the 8 turn. Tsou called.

Greenblatt Makes a Bold Move

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Picking up the action on the river, Alex Greenblatt in the small blind was involved in a hand with Joseph Bold on the button.

With the board reading 93Q47 and a large number of chips already in the middle, Greenblatt moved all in for 775,000. After asking for a count, Bold made the call but mucked with some frustration after Greenblatt tabled 97 for two pair as he conceded a pot with massive equity considerations to his opponent.

Elsewhere, Giuseppe Vassallo was seen making his way to the payout desk.

Russell Hits the Jackpot to Send Andress Home

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Charles Russell
Charles Russell

Charles Russell opened the cutoff to 80,000 and John Andress shoved his stack of around 650,000 into the middle from the button. Once the blinds folded, Russell called.

John Andress: KK All in
Charles Russell: 77

Andress was in good shape to double up but his hopes were dashed when the flop of 5J7 improved Russell to a set. A J landed on the turn which, despite giving Russell a full house, did bring some more outs for Andress as now any king or jack would see him survive. Unfortunately for Andress, a 10 fell on the river which meant he was eliminated.

Slobodskoy Takes From Guo

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

On an immediate pay jump, Jingwei Guo raised to 80,000 from an early position and one of the table short stacks defended the big blind in Naor Slobodskoy. The AJ9 flop was checked by Slobodskoy, and Guo continued for 50,000.

What followed was a check-raise to 215,000 with 5,000 behind by Slobodskoy and that did the trick to force a fold.

Right after the hand, Nicholas Schuler was all smiles and said "a pay jump never hurt somebody" as the clock had dropped to 285 remaining players.
