Peter Kiem was all-in before the flop with the A♣J♦ and had picked an unfortunate timing, as Donovan Dean looked him up with the A♦A♥. There was no escape on the 7♦6♠2♠9♦10♣ runout and Kiem headed to the payout desk.

Konstantinos Nanos and Brian Kim were heads-up on the turn with the board showing Q♣9♥K♦J♥ when Kim bet 62,000 from the hijack.
Nanos called in the big blind and the 9♣ fell on the turn. Nanos checked to Kim again, and this time Kim bet 170,000.
Nanos spent several minutes in the tank before he emerged with a raise to 350,000. Kim gave out an expression of complete shock as he also took a few minutes before folding.

Lucas Bandeira and Richard Lowe had reached the river on 2♦3♥K♥4♠6♠, where Lowe in the big blind bet 56,000 into the pot of 125,000. Bandeira then jammed all in from the cutoff, sending Lowe into the tank.
After several minutes, Lowe put in a call. Bandeira tabled 8♦5♥ for a straight to the six, and Lowe turned over A♠3♣ for just a pair as he lost the majority of his stack.

Jorge Rios was all in and at risk preflop.
Jorge Rios: AxKx
Jared Koppel: KxKx
Rios would need some serious help as he asked if anyone folded an ace, which one player at the table said they did but the flop came A♥J♦Q♠ to pair the ace but also give Koppel a broadway draw. The turn was the 6♦ and the river came the J♠ to give Rios a double and leave Koppel short stacked.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the eighth episode, Connor speaks with legendary UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer in an exclusive in-depth interview after Buffer's deep run in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $50,000 High Roller. Buffer, a longtime poker player, finished in eighth place for a career-best $212,423 after kicking off Day 3 with his trademark "it's time" introduction.
Buffer talked about finding his long-lost half-brother, Michael Buffer, and becoming his manager, the early days of the UFC, the similarities between poker and martial arts, his relationships with Joe Rogan and Dana White, playing poker with Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio and the time he injured himself in a poker tournament before announcing the biggest UFC fight in history.
The Life Outside Poker podcast is available on major streaming platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and iHeartRadio. You can also watch the interview with Bruce Buffer by heading to the PokerNews YouTube channel.
Three players saw the turn on a board of 8♥Q♥J♣9♣ with around 150,000 in the pot when a player in early position bet 125,000.
Only Daniel Jones on the button called and the K♥ fell on the river. The early-position player checked and Jones then moved all in.
His opponent had around 430,000 behind and didn't take too long before folding. Jones turned over 8♣7♣ for a pair of eights and missed flush draw as he took the pot to climb past 1,000,000.

Picking up the action on the turn, Wai Kit Lo in the big blind was involved in a hand with a player in the cutoff. With the board reading 7♦6♦9♥K♣ Lo checked. His opponent bet 60,000 only to see Lo raise to 200,000. After some thought, the cutoff flatted to see a river.
The river came 10♦ prompting Lo to check. The cutoff player did not immediately check back but eventually chose not to put more chips in the pot. Lo tabled 8♠8♥ for the straight to take down a sizable pot and continue his ascent up the leaderboard.
