Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Danielle Andersen
Danielle Andersen

Danielle Andersen raised to 35,000 on the button and Tyler Montoya defended in the big blind.

The flop came 856 and action went check-check bringing the 8 turn.

Montoya led out for 45,000, Andersen raised to 100,000, and Montoya called.

The river brought the 4 and Montoya checked. Andersen then moved all in, covering the the stack of Montoya, who had about 225,000 behind.

Montoya went deep into the tank, staring Andersen down and mentioning "I wish I had a spade," before eventually tossing his cards into the muck.

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

The action commenced with a raise to 35,000 and Joe Hamilton called from the very next seat. Santhosh Suvarna then three-bet jammed for his last 65,000 in the small blind and the initial raiser called. Hamilton reraised to 200,000 and isolated successfully.

Santhosh Suvarna: A10 All in
Joe Hamilton: AJ

Suvarna was pipped by a notch but gained some equity until the K954 turn with his flush draw. However, the 4 river brought no help and the kicker played for Hamilton.

Vazquez Spikes the River to Take a Massive Pot and the Chip Lead

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Luis Vazquez
Luis Vazquez

Luis Vazquez just eliminated another player after a massive pot that catapulted him to the top of the chip counts, and the table filled in the details.

A player raised in early position and Vazquez called in middle position, as did the small blind. The flop came K108 and Vazquez bet 35,000. The small blind raised to 120,000, Vazquez reraised to 260,000, and the small blind called.

The turn was the Q, and Vazquez bet another 340,000. His opponent tanked for several minutes, and Vazquez called the clock. The small blind eventually moved all in for around 1,000,000, and Vazquez called with 97 for straight and flush draws.

His opponent had K10 for two pair and his own flush draw, but the river was the A as Vazquez completed his draw to win the pot and climb past 4,000,000.

A player in the hijack was all in for around 250,000 and up against Jayphong Nguyen in the big blind.

Jayphong Nguyen: AK

Any hope the all-in player had of staying alive in the tournament disappeared on the 3410 flop as Nguyen hit the nut flush. The rest of the J5 board was a mere formality as Nguyen scored the knockout.

Gonzalez Busts Gill and Daniels

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Cody Daniels
Cody Daniels

Robert Gill was facing the prospect of losing half of his stack to the big blind and ante, and he moved all in from under the gun. Cody Daniels then moved all-in over the top for around 330,000, and behind them, Andres Gonzalez called and put both at risk.

Robert Gill: 96 All in
Cody Daniels: JJ All in
Andres Gonzalez: AA

Before the cards were flipped over, Daniels used his one-time, but all hope of an even deeper run evaporated on the A82 flop. The 9 turn left both shorter stacks drawing dead ahead of the 5 river, and the table broke right after.

One year ago, Daniels finished in 635th place, surpassing that result with a 590th place for $32,500.

Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

A pot of around 400,000 was already in the middle as Christopher Frank and Alejandro Lococo went heads-up to the river on a board of 2AQ102. Lococo then slid forward a tower of chips, enough to put Frank all in.

Frank tanked for several minutes until he called for his last 520,000. Lococo showed KJ for the nut straight and Frank went to muck his hand, but the dealer retrieved A10 before Frank made his exit.

Koray Aldemir

A player in the small blind was all in for around 200,000, Larry Ormson shoved in his last 250,000 in the big blind, and Laith Salem had both players covered and at risk in early position.

Small Blind: 1010 All in
Larry Ormson: AQ All in
Laith Salem: QQ

Salem quickly went from being ahead and poised for a double knockout to drawing dead once the flop came A9A, giving Ormson trips. The rest of the board ran out 83 and Ormson took the pot to virtually triple up and eliminate the small blind.

Earlier at this table, Biao Ding and Koray Aldemir tangled in a massive pot where Aldemir was all in for around 1,100,000 with two kings, but Ding woke up with two aces to bust the 2021 Main Event champion.
