River Queen Saves Pogson

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action was picked up on the turn as the board read 7K109. From the small blind, James Pogson jammed all in for 57,000 over a bet of 11,500 from Nick Yunis in early position.

Yunis studied Pogson and the pot of about 25,000 as he thought it over. Eventually he called to put Pogson at risk.

James Pogson: J10 All in
Nick Yunis: KQ

Yunis lead with top pair but the river was the Q to hit the straight for Pogson as he stayed alive and Yunis was left shaking his head in disgust.

Fehlig Takes From Tang

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Danny Tang raised to 3,000 from the cutoff, which Paul Fehlig in the small blind, and the big blind called.

The flop came 2A5 and Fehlig check-called a bet of 2,500 from Tang.

After the A on the turn, Fehlig again check-called a bet from Tang, this time for 8,000.

The river was the 4 and Fehlig decided to lead out for a bet of 10,000. This got Tang to snap folded and give the pot to Fehlig.

The 2021 WSOP Main Event runner-up George Holmes had been nursing a short stack for an extended period and eventually got the the last 18,500 into the middle for Douglas Jones to look him up preflop.

George Holmes: A8 All in
Douglas Jones: KK

There was no ace on the Q9336 runout and that spelled the end for Holmes.

"Nice playing with you, George," Jones told him before they parted ways.

Schill Applies Maximum Pressure

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action picked up on a board showing 7Q855 and an out-of-position player just checked, putting action on Daniel Schill.

The pot was bloated with a little more than 45,000 in the middle, and high drama ensued when Schill moved all in, a move that covered his opponent.

Schill’s opponent immediately appeared uneasy, leaning back in his chair and leaning off to his side, resting his head in his arms while studying the board.

The player then repositioned himself in his chair to sit up. He leaned forward, looked at the board and across the table at Schill, who didn’t move.

Schill’s opponent then cut out his chip stack, stared at his chips for few more moments before pushing his cards forward and surrendering the hand to Schill.

Koppel Flops the Joint to Earn a Massive Double

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Three players saw a flop of 625 where the big blind bet 18,000. Another player in early position called, but Jared Koppel raised to 60,000 on the button. Only the big blind called.

The turn was the 6 and Koppel moved all in for 171,000. The big blind snap-called with QQ, but Koppel had 43 for a flopped straight.

His opponent began pleading for a six with more than 500,000 in the middle, but he missed the 8 river as Koppel held on to secure the massive double up.

144,000 64,000
Table 420Seat 5

Been a hell of a day! Started with 62,500 after an insane day one where we had at our lowest point, 11,000

a good friend shared with me on my dinner break that in 2022 the winner bagged 17k after day one

That calmed me a bit and gave me the patience needed to find a double

day two started similarly as we went from 62,500 to 24,000 in two hours

After dinner break i yet again found a double and then I got moved tables … my very first hand i got a dull double with 10/10 as I turned quads🏄🌊
