Ganser and Fryda Take Down Pots

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Over in the Horseshoe Ballroom, the turn showed K10210 and Louis Ganser checked from the small blind. Tim Gerwig in the cutoff bet 2,500 and Ganser called. They checked the Q river and Ganser announced aces, flashing the AA to win the pot.

One table over, big stack Victor Fryda fired a second barrel for 4,000 on the Q1057 turn and his opponent in the blinds called. After the 6 river, they checked and Fryda's QJ won the pot as his opponent had missed the flopped open-ender.

Fass Leaves Madsen with Crumbs

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

PokerNews was waved over to a table where a massive hand was in process between four-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Madsen and Seth Fass.

The board showed 486103 with a bloated pot and Madsen was all in for approximately 40,000 against Fass, who had position and would’ve been at risk with a call if he lost the hand.

Fass was deliberating his next move before he eventually made the call and he promptly tabled his hand.

Seth Fass: QQ All in

“Good call,” said Madsen, who saw Fass' pocket queens before showing Ax and mucking his hand.

While Madsen's second card is unknown, Fass recounted some of the action for PokerNews.

Fass said he raised preflop and got four callers, including Madsen. Fass’ three other opponents had cleared out by the turn, where Fass said Madsen led into him with a 7,500 bet. Fass said he flatted Madsen’s bet on the turn, which set up the river action of Madsen moving all in and Fass making the call with his pocket queens.

Fass scored a huge pot to boost his chip stack, while Madsen’s stack was decimated.

Renald Rivers the Nuts

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

There were around 50,000 chips in the pot on a board of 8J2A7 when Robert Renald shoved for just over 30,000 chips. The decision was on the player in seat nine who was taking so long that the table called the clock. The floor arrived and when the countdown got to one second remaining, Renald's opponent called.

Renald tabled 109 for the nuts with a straight, with his opponent having flipped 88 for a set.
