Gorham and Sanchez Chip Up
Diogo Veiga had vanished with Neal Corcoran jumping back to his comfortable bigger stack.
One table over, Francisco Sanchez took advantage of the A♥K♥K♠8♦A♣ river when Randy Gattesco check-folded to his bet and flashed the 8♥8♠. As he collected the pot, Sanchez smirked and then exposed the 7♦7♠ for a successful bluff.
"Wait, what did he have?" Gattesco on the other side of the table asked and when he was told, shot out of the table with a loud "son of a bitch" as a joke, with the entire table bursting out in laughter.
While that hand was played out, Orson Young limped the small blind and called a raise to 140,000 by Jimmy Gorham in the big blind one table over. They checked the J♥6♠3♠ flop and Young led the 5♦ turn for 185,000, Gorham called.
Young also bet the 5♠ river for 425,000 and then tank-folded when Gorham raised it up to 1,400,000.
