Iijima Soaring in Triple Draw

Level 25

2-7 Triple Draw

Adam Friedman raised in the hijack and Masafumi Iijima three-bet on the button which saw Bradley Jansen in the big blind and Friedman called.

Friedman and Jansen drew two on the first draw while Iijima drew one. Action checked around to Iijima who bet and both players called.

Jansen drew one, Friedman drew two, and Iijima drew one on the second drawing round, with the same betting action occurring.

Both Jansen and Iijima drew one and Iijima stood pat with action checking through. Iijima tabled 8x7x5x4x2x for an eight-seven and it was good for the pot.

Adam Friedman: QQ / J443 / 3
Ashish Gupta: 65 / 4988 / 3

Props, Family & Fortnite: For the Four Members of Team Lucky It's About Much More Than Poker

Level 25
Team Lucky
Team Lucky

With 14 bracelets and nearly $50 million in tournament earnings between the four of them, there's no denying that Shaun Deeb, Josh Arieh, Daniel Weinman and Matt Glantz are poker crushers. But with resumes that include a $1 million bounty pull, a body fat prop bet victory worth nearly the same amount and a win in the biggest World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in history, it's clear the group of close friends also have luck on their sides.

The four American poker players have branded themselves as "Team Lucky" — a name that Deeb may have come up with, though they aren't certain — as a way of consciously embracing and owning their good fortunes while fighting back against the jaded cynicism all to common in the poker world.

But Team Lucky is about more than once-in-a-lifetime bounty binks and turned two-outers leading to $12 million scores. As PokerNews learned during brunch with its four members, is more about friendship, camaraderie, and shared values than a good run of cards.

Stud Hi-Lo

Adam Friedman: XxXx / 675
Ashish Gupta: 5x6x / 3J9 folded on fifth street

Adam Friedman was all-in and at risk with aces in the hole against Warwick Mirzikinian and one street away from a double up or elimination, as he made aces up. Mirzikinian had a wheel draw but only hit the low and they chopped.

Friedman then completed and Ashish Gupta defended the bring-in. Friedman bet again fourth street to earn a call and bet fifth to force a fold, as Gupta flashed a five-six with his bad runout.

Bohlman Wins a Big Pot Against Yu

Level 24
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Bradley Jansen raised to 60,000 and was called by Ben Yu on the button as well as Scott Bohlman in the big blind. Each of them drew one and Bohlman as well as Jansen opted to check. Yu made it 150,000 to go only for Bohlman to raise to 500,000.

Jansen checked his stack carefully and reluctantly folded while Yu eventually called. Bohlman showed the 7x5x4x3x2x and claimed the pot.

"I broke up a big hand," he said after the hand was over.
