Welcome to the $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold'em; Can Jaka Defend His Title?

Today sees the start of Event #23: $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold'em here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas. This is a three-day event featuring Flight A at 12:00 p.m. local time and Flight B at 7:00 p.m. local time. Players who bust from Flight A can re-enter on Flight B if they wish. Flight A has a 40-minute clock, with Flight B's levels set at 20 minutes.
The Shootout is a fun event in which players need to win their table to advance to the next round, of which there are three.
Day 2 takes place on June 8, with the third and final day scheduled for June 9.
Faraz Jaka is the reigning champion, having outlasted 986 opponents in 2023. Jaka banked $237,637 and his first WSOP bracelet.
