Schutten Becomes Table Captain

Level 20 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Brandon Wilson opened to 300,000 from the small blind and Taylor von Kriegenbergh called from the big blind. Wilson folded out his opponent with a bet of 100,000 on the AAJ flop.

The following hand, Brek Schutten raised to 200,000 from under the gun and folded when Eli Berg jammed from the small blind.

The hand after, Wilson opened to 200,000 from the hijack, and Schutten defended the big blind.

Schutten check-called for 275,000 on the 1075 flop before leading for 400,000 on the 9 turn. Wilson called, bringing in the A river. Schutten moved all in as the big stack, gunning for Wilson's last 1,615,000. After using two time banks, Wilson folded.

Its been a rough start for Brandon Wilson. The start of day chip leader doubled up two opponents in the early going to become a below average stack and he looked to rally against the active Masashi Oya.

Oya opened to 180,000 from under the gun and Wilson called on the button.

On the A105 flop, Wilson called for 175,000, bringing in the 2 turn. Oya then check-folded to Wilson's bet of 500,000.

Oya in the Trenches

In a single raised pot to the 752 flop, Chongxian Yang checked from the big blind and called when Masashi Oya bet 250,000 from the button.

The J turn checked through to the 8 river. Yang led out for 350,000 and was snapped off.

Yang tabled A2, which was no good against Oya's K8, which rivered a pair of eights.

The following hand, Taylor von Kriegenbergh opened to 175,000 from under the gun and folded when Oya made it 425,000.

Michael Rocco raised to 160,000 from the button and Tyler Stafman defended the big blind to see a flop of 85K.

Stafman checked and then called a small bet of 100,000 from Rocco.

Both players then checked the 3 turn and the 10 completed the board on the river. Stafman checked for a third time and Rocco checked it back.

Stafman had been slowplaying the nuts and tabled the A2, which prompted Rocco to muck his cards.
