The Classic Schwartz Squeeze

On a three-way flop of Q5J, Bob Tumilson and Noah Schwartz both checked to Manny Olszynko who then bet 1,600, which Tumilson called.

But then Schwartz thought about it for a second before he slid out a raise to 7,200 and both players shook their heads and let their hands go.

Negreanu Wins Multiway Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Daniel Negreanu limped in from early position and received calls from the button, small blind and big blind.

Action checked around to the button on the A27 flop, who bet 1,000. Negreanu called and the players in the blinds both folded.

Both players checked the K turn leading to the J river. Negreanu fired a bet of 2,000 and after some deliberation his opponent threw his cards into the muck.

Ho Makes the Right Call

There was a raise to 1,000 from under the gun which a player in the hijack called. Maria Ho also came along from the big blind and the dealer fanned the flop of A73. Ho checked to the player on her left who bet 1,800 and Ho was the only one to call.

The turn was the 10 and both players checked to the A on the river. Ho checked again and her opponent announced a bet of 3,500. Ho mulled it over and then made the call. Her opponent tabled KQ for king-high but Ho held 74 for two pair.

AJ Pfeiffer raised to 800 from early position and got a call from the player in the big blind, leading to a Q9J flop.

The big blind checked over to Pfeiffer, who continued with a bet of 1,200. The big blind tossed in a call and the dealer burned and turned the 10.

The big blind checked once again and Pfeiffer tossed out another bet, this time for 2,300.

The big blind didn't think long before releasing his hand and sending the pot to Pfeiffer uncontested.

Wells Gets Respect on Scary River

A player in middle position opened to 600 and received calls from Shelby Wells on the button and a player in the big blind.

All three players checked the 725 flop leading to the 8 turn. The big blind checked, the middle position player bet 800, Wells called and the big blind folded.

The river came the 6, making it one card to a straight. The middle position player slowed down with a check and Wells bet 1,000, quickly getting a fold from her opponent to take the pot down uncontested.

Maksimchuk Defends the Big Blind

David Carleton raised from late position to 800 and the player on the button and the big blind both called. The flop came out Q49 and Carleton checked and the button made a bet of 1,400. Daniil Maksimchuk called and Carleton folded. The dealer accidentally exposed Carleton's hand as A10.

Carleton joked, "I will take my hand back if you expose their cards too".

The turn brought the 8 and Maksimchuk made a bet of 1,500 and the player on the button made the call.

Both of the players checked the 4. Maksimchuk turned over Q10 for two pair and the button mucked.

Split Pot Between Merlin And Chaitin

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Natan Chaitin opened from middle position, and Pierre Merlin in the big blind was the only player to call to see 4JA.

Chaitin bet 500 on this flop, and Merlin raised to 1,600. Chaitin decided to three-bet to 4,500. And after a few seconds, Merlin called.

The turn was the 5, and Chaitin fired a second barrel of 5,000. Merlin check-called. However, the action slowed down on the river 5, as both players checked.

Chaitin revealed A4 for two pairs, which he first hit on the flop and then on the river. Merlin showed A7 for a missed flush draw, but he also had the same two pairs as Chaitin, resulting in a split pot.

Patterson Clobbers the Cobbler

Euan McNicholas opened to 700 pre-flop and Yannick Schumacher made the call on the button but then Eric Patterson three-bet to 3,600.

McNicholas folded his hand but Schumacher decided to stick around so he made the call to see a flop of 1084.

Patterson continued for 3,200 and Schumacher called again to see the 10 on the turn, which both players checked.

When the 4 came on the river to double-pair the board, Patterson tossed out a 5,000-chip and Schumacher went into the tank. After a while, he decided to make the call but was then shown JJ by Patterson and he hastily mucked his hand.
