The players have taken their seats and cards are now in the air as Day 2 of the $25,000 PLO High Roller.
There is a slight delay in the start on the PLO High Roller due to some last minute entries and Time Bank shortages but play will begin soon.
After an incredible turnout the previous day in Event #57: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, the latest high-stakes competition during the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas is seeking to extend a record field. The tournament has already surpassed the 264 entries of the 2022 edition by a wide margin, attracting 357 entries to generate a prize pool of $8,389,500 so far.
However, both numbers are subject to change as the late registration remains open until the end of level 12 and following break at approximately 2.15 p.m. local time. Day 2 is set to recommence at noon local time in the Paris Purple section and a flurry of late entries is expected. All those wishing to join the action can take advantage of up to two re-entries throughout the registration period.
A trio sits atop the leaderboard with seven-figure stacks, with Firas Kashat returning as the overnight chip leader with 1,203,000. He is closely followed by Yang Wang (1,120,000) and Norbert Szecsi (1,071,000).

Some of those who may join again if they haven't exhausted their re-entry option yet including defending champion Tong Li, Daniel Negreanu, Shiva Dudani, Dylan Weisman, Benjamin Juhasz, Jonas Kronwitter, and Ren Lin. Lou Garza, who won the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship two days ago, fired one entry so far without success and may also return as well. Garza was temporarily seated right next to runner-up Arthur Morris, who advanced with a healthy stack of 622,000.
Action resumes in level 11, featuring blinds of 3,000-5,000 with a big blind ante of 5,000. All new additions to the field receive 150,000 in chips to try and run up a stack. A total of ten levels of 60 minutes each are scheduled for today and the money bubble is expected to burst during that time.
There will be a break every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break upon completion of level 16.
Stay tuned right here on PokerNews to follow along with one of the most exciting Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments of the year, which is slated to crown a winner on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
