2023 World Series of Poker
On a three-way flop of 5♦6♣K♦, Bruno Fitoussi moved the rest of his chips into the pot of already 90,000. Then Oswin Ziegelbecker shoved over the top for 112,000 total and the action was over to Joao Vieira who went deep into the tank.
After using all four of his time banks, Vieira finally made the call, putting himself at risk as the cards were tabled.
Bruno Fitoussi: A♣A♦4♥3♦
Joao Vieira: 10♠9♠8♣7♣
Oswin Ziegelbecker: A♠K♠Q♦9♦
Fitoussi was currently in the lead with his nut flush draw and pocket aces, but still had to dodge a lot of two-pair and straight-outs.
The turn came the Q♠ to give Oswin Ziegelbecker the lead with two-pair of kings and queens, but the river 5♣ gave the win to Fitoussi with his aces and fives.
Ziegelbecker managed to get a small rebate by taking the side pot while Vieira was sent to the rail.

Nir Cohen had 16,000 in the middle with action in front of him only for Ka Kwan Lau to raise the pot. Keith Lehr moved all-in and Cohen folded.
Keith Lehr: A♣A♦4♥3♥
Ka Kwan Lau: A♥A♠4♠2♦
The board ran out 9♦7♠5♣7♥5♠ and they chopped while Cohen mentioned in the table chat he had folded KxKx8x7x.
"I am freerolling the event now, no more bullet," Lau mentioned and Lehr asked "You won't rebuy? You are a pussy ... ."
Lau clarified that he was already on his third and final bullet for the event, which then saw Lehr conclude "ah, you are not a pussy then ... that makes you terrible".
Some of the players glanced at Michelle Chin, who was enjoying a table massage while playing on the same table and she just grinned. Cohen insisted to include the table chat in the coverage.

Over on table 112, the fireworks kicked off when Aaron Katz and Robert Salaburu got their chips in on a 10♠9♦8♦ flop with Anton Morgenstern getting out of the way.
Aaron Katz: A♥J♦8♣7♥
Robert Salaburu: K♠K♦10♥4♦
The Q♠ turn and 3♣ river changed nothing and Katz doubled for 74,300.
"I had ace-king-jack nut spades," Morgenstern said.
Soon after, the duo locked horns again when they got it in after the J♥9♦5♥ flop.
Robert Salaburu: K♦K♥5♣2♥
Aaron Katz: A♦10♦8♣6♠
The J♠ turn and 8♠ river kept the kings in the lead and Salaburu doubled right back.

On a flop of A♠5♠3♥, after a bet to 4,800 from Tomas Ribeiro and a call from Anson Tsang, Nick Schulman raised the pot to 28,800.
Ribeiro quickly got out of the way but Tsang decided to make the call after some time in the tank and the two saw the turn fall the 6♠.
Tsang then paused for a few moments before he announced all-in for 70,700. Schulman then went into the tank himself, burning one of his time bank cards before he finally gave up and threw in his cards.

In a three-way pot on a flop of 10♠4♥4♠, Erik Seidel and Allan Le checked from the blinds and the button bet 7,000. Le called and Seidel check-raised to 20,000. The button called and Le folded.
Seidel bet 25,000 on the 10♦ turn and his opponent again called. Seidel then bet 60,000 on the K♣ river before his opponent moved all in with Seidel covered. Seidel quickly called.
The button showed a full house with K♠4♦3♦8♠, but it was no good against the quads of Seidel as the Poker Hall of Famer turned over A♣10♥10♣6♥ to double up and leave his opponent with crumbs.

While preflop didn't bring a ton of action, Joseph Liberta in the big blind raised the pot and Jesse Lonis was the only one to stick around after the A♠J♠7♣ flop. That created a pot of 39,400 and they checked the 8♦ turn. Liberta then bet the pot on the 4♣ river and Lonis used one time bank extension before making the call.
Liberta exposed his 9♠7♥6♠3♥ on the other side of the table and Lonis asked "do you have a straight?"
That was not the case and Lonis won the pot with the 10♥8♠6♥5♠. Some verbal tussle followed as Liberta joked it could have been a decent slow roll if he had tanked for a minute and then started laughing before exposing his cards.
"It was a nit roll, not a slow roll," Lonis concluded.

On a heads-up board of K♣J♥8♦2♣, Eric Wasserson bet the pot for 59,000 and then Artem Babakhanyan moved all in for more. Wasserson quickly made the call to put him at risk and the cards were tabled.
Artem Babakhanyan: A♥K♠J♣5♥
Eric Wasserson: K♥Q♣10♥9♣
Babakhanyan was technically ahead with his top two-pair but Wasserson had a monster hand with his wrap and flush combo draw.
Unfortunately for Wasserson, the river came the brick 6♥ and Babakhanyan scooped the massive pot while Wasserson was left on crumbs, shaking his head.
Wasserson then got it all in against Yashuo Chin the very next hand, and although they both held similar hands of pocket queens with an ace, Chin hit a flush to knock him out. He has since fired a second bullet and is back in the mix.
