Jeremy Ausmus Eliminated in 8th Place ($209,392)

In what appeared to be just the third hand of the final table, Ka Kwan Lau raised to 480,000 in the small blind. Jeremy Ausmus defended the big blind and Lau bet the A♣J♥5♥ flop for 500,000, earning a call from Ausmus.

That led them to the 2♦ turn on which Lau opted to check. Ausmus asked for the size of the pot and bet 1,300,000 into 2,120,000. Lau used a time bank extension and then check-raised the pot for more than six million in chips.

Ausmus gave it a few seconds before moving all-in and Lau snap called.

Lau was ahead with the top set while Ausmus had just one out with the case jack. There was no miracle on the 6♣ river and Ausmus, who had been sitting in fourth place at the time, was eliminated in eighth place for $209,392.
