Velador Wins Large Three-Way Pot

Level 24 : Limits 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

In a three-way three-bet pot to the 1083 flop, James Obst checked out of the big blind. Luis Velador bet for Ben Lamb to call and Obst then check-raised to earn calls from both opponents.

The K fell on the turn and Obst checked, Velador bet and the calls of Lamb and Obst followed.

That led them to the 8 on the river and Obst checked again. Velador bet to force out Lamb while Obst went into the tank. He eventually called and Velador announced ace-ten before revealing his AQ102. That won the pot as Obst flung his cards towards the muck.

The start of the final level for the night saw Johannes Becker and Brad Ruben chip up, too, while Velador leaped into second place.
