Two Barrels Are Enough for Speranza

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Robert Chow opened the action with a raise to 6,000 and Gianluca Speranza on the button made it 19,000 to go for Chow to call. On the {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Chow check-called for 11,000 and opted to check again the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. Speranza now made it 38,000 to go and Chow carefully checked his remaining stack before he sent the cards into the muck.

Lazzaro No Moore

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

The cards were already exposed and Kyle Lazzaro was on very thin ice after his {a-Hearts}{2-Spades} in the cutoff had flopped trips on {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. He was up against the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Braxton Moore and caught no miracle escape on the {j-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river runout to depart.

Among the next batch of casualties was also Ryan Laplante, while Sydney Krugh doubled twice from a severe short stack.

Cowen Chips Back Up

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

The start into Day 2 had been rather quiet for Robert Cowen but the Day 1 chip leader is back on track and aiming for half a million shortly. In the latest pot, he faced Shota Nakanishi as they headed to a {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} river on which Nakanishi checked. Cowen bet 26,000 and his opponent tank-called to get shown the {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a rivered pair of aces.

That was good enough to win the pot for Cowen.

Grassmick Leaves Seymour Short

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Taylor Grassmick got his last 141,000 into the middle and Zachary Seymour called to put him at risk.

Taylor Grassmick: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Zachary Seymour: {9-}{9-}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Grassmick spiked a king on the river to beat Seymour's nines.

A few hands later, Seymour was seen gathering his things and making his way for the exit.
