Harry Lodge
Harry Lodge

Three ways to the {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Christopher Unger and he bet 1,600 in the big blind. Harry Lodge then raised to 6,500 in the hijack and the small blind folded. Unger reraised to 13,600 only for Lodge to move all-in.

The shove was for 26,700 as Unger asked for an exact count before sending his cards into the muck.

Weinman Forces Fold from Lazzaro

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Heads-up to the {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} with some 6,000 in the middle, Kyle Lazzaro bet 3,600. Daniel Weinman then check-raised to 40,000 by splashing in all his red T-5,000 chips and that sent Lazzaro into the tank. Ultimately, no fold followed and Weinman raked in the pot to chip up further.

Balleur Is Ballin With a Big Double

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A preflop raising war saw Kym Possible squeeze to 20,000 and she then called the all-in by Gaetan Balleur for 41,800 total.

Gaetan Balleur: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Kym Possible: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Possible was asking for the near impossible broadway on the flop but instead, Balleur had locked up the large double by the time time the board showed {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}. That made the {4-Spades} river a formality and Balleur doubled, sending Possible well below the starting stack after her hot start into the day.

Sawers Takes from Foutty

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Steve Foutty opened to 700 in middle position and Kathy Sawers flat-called as the player next to act. David Moses also called from the big blind.

"Don't do anything too punty, PokerNews is here!" Moses said from underneath his signature furry Grinch hat.

Moses checked on the flop of {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Foutty bet 1,000. Sawers called and Moses folded. Foutty then checked on the {5-Clubs} turn and Sawers fired a bet of 2,200. Foutty folded.

Halatenko Jams Into Eskandari

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

On a completed board of {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Massoud Eskandari made it 8,000 to go out of the big blind with a pot of around 23,000 having emerged until then already. He only had to go through Stanislav Halatenko from one seat, who then pushed all-in. Eskandari gave it some thought and sent the cards into the muck.

Blagman Doubles Through Carlisle

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With around 22,000 in the middle to the {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} river, Damien Carlisle bet 10,000 and then faced the all-in of Alan Blagman for 22,700. Carlisle immediately sighed very loudly, which caused some chuckles among the other players at the table.

The reluctant call by Carlisle followed and Blagman tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the nut flush, which beat the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} of Carlisle. Left with fumes, the seat of Carlisle was open shortly thereafter.

Booth Among the Early Chip Leaders

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

According to Justin Booth, he raised it up with the {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and was called by two opponents in John Holley and Victor Nassif. On a flop of {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, it checked to Booth who bet 1,000. Holley raised to 3,000 and Nassif then jammed for 30,000 as both players behind got their chips in too.

Nassif had the {a-Clubs}{4-} for the gutshot wheel draw and nut flush draw, which was trailing against Booth's flush and Holley's {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the inferior flush. Two bricks later, Booth claimed the pot and jumped to a six figure stack after knocking out two opponents.
