Towards the end of the previous level, Nicholas Shock had sent an opponent to the rail when he overbet the river of a ten-high board and revealed for a king-high flush. His opponent could not get away from and hit the rail.
Shock continued his hot run soon after the break when he raised to 3,000 and called the shove of a short stack for around 11,000.

Four ways to a flop, Ali Eslami in the cutoff called a bet worth 8,000 by the hijack and the other two players in the hand sent their cards into the muck.
