Shock Among the Bigger Stacks

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Towards the end of the previous level, Nicholas Shock had sent an opponent to the rail when he overbet the river of a ten-high board and revealed {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a king-high flush. His opponent could not get away from {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and hit the rail.

Shock continued his hot run soon after the break when he raised to 3,000 and called the shove of a short stack for around 11,000.

His {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} were up against {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and the king came on the turn of a {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.
