Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Jimmy Setna
Jimmy Setna

On the very next hand after losing the majority of his chips, Jimmy Setna moved all in for 825,000 from under the gun. Matija Dobric raised to 3,000,000 on the button and the blind both folded.

Jimmy Setna: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Matija Dobric: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades} and Setna more than doubled up to keep his tournament hopes alive.

On the next hand Aaron Duczak raised to 1,600,000 in the hijack and Jimmy Setna stuck in the last of his 3,150,000 from the big blind. Duczak quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Jimmy Setna: {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Aaron Duczak: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Setna was unable to survive elimination for the second straight hand.

Jorstad Brings the Heat Versus Duek

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Espen Jorstad limped his small blind and Michael Duek checked in the big blind.

The duo checked the {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, then on the {10-Hearts} turn, Jorstad bet big, to the tune of 5,800,000.

Duek called, and the river brought the {5-Diamonds}.

Jorstad now moved all in for Duek's final 24,300,000, and Duek went into the tank.

After nearly four full minutes, Duek folded, sending a pot to Jorstad that pushes his stack toward the 100 million mark.

Jorstad Doubles Into Chip Lead in Massive Cooler

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Espen Jorstad opened to 1,600,000 under the gun and Tom Kunze three-bet to 5,200,000 in middle position. Action folded back to Jorstad who four-bet to 11,800,000, and Kunze five-bet jammed after a minute of deliberation. Jorstad snap-called for his stack of 43,700,000.

Espen Jorstad: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Tom Kunze: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Jorstad found himself in an amazing spot, although the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop brought a sweat by giving Kunze a gutshot draw to Broadway. The {8-Diamonds} turn left Jorstad just needing to fade a ten, and the {7-Clubs} completed the board as the Norwegian player's rail exploded while he took the biggest pot of the tournament thus far to move into the chip lead.

Vadim Rozin
Vadim Rozin

Tom Kunze raised to 1,600,000 on the button and Vadim Rozin moved all in for 5,800,000 from the big blind.

Kunze called to put Rozin at risk.

Vadim Rozin: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Tom Kunze: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} giving Rozin a full house and near instant survival.

The turn {q-Hearts} and river {k-Diamonds} sealed the deal and Rozin doubled up to over ten million.

Only 15 Remain in Contention for the 2022 WSOP Main Event Title

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Efthymia Litsou
Efthymia Litsou

Another level has come to an end and with it, new chip leaders emerged while the field was reduced to the last 15 contenders upon completion of level 35. Former big stack Karim Rebei was among the casualties as his fall from grace came in rapid fashion.

The final two tables were set with the eliminations of Aaron Mermelstein and Tzur Levy, while the last woman standing in the field was sent to the rail shortly after. Efthymia Litsou turned her $10,000 entry via satellite into a payday of $323,100.

Below are further highlights of the previous two-hour session as the next 20-minute break kicked off.

Kunze Takes a Big One From Attenborough Before Break

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Tom Kunze
Tom Kunze

Tom Kunze raised to 1,200,000 in the hijack with the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Adrian Attenborough three-bet to 5,600,000 in the small blind with {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Kunze called and a big pot was brewing before break.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Attenborough bet 2,100,000. Kunze just called to see the {j-Spades} fall on the turn.

Attenborough ramped up the aggression with a bet of 12,500,000, and again, Kunze called.

The river brought the {5-Diamonds} and Attenborough checked.

Kunze then jammed for 32,700,000 and Attenborough snap-folded, sending Kunze to break with a much bigger stack than he had a few minutes ago,

Karim Rebei Eliminated in 16th Place ($410,000)

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Karim Rebei
Karim Rebei

Karim Rebei opened to 2,400,000 on the button and Matija Dobric three-bet to 10,000,000 from the small blind. Asher Conniff folded his big blind and Rebei shipped all in for 16,600,000. Dobric quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Karim Rebei: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Matija Dobric: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} gave Dobric a wealth of outs to hit on future streets. It was the {k-Spades} on the turn that made his straight but Rebei was not out of it yet. The river was the {9-Spades} and Rebei was unable to find any help as he was eliminated in 16th place.

Dobric Jams Into Setna

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Jimmy Setna
Jimmy Setna

Matija Dobric raised to 1,200,000 in the hijack with the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} and then called a three-bet to 4,400,000 by Jimmy Setna in the small blind, who held the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Both headed to the {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop on which Setna continued for 2,500,000 and received a quick call.

The {a-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Setna now settled for check, which prompted a bet worth 7,000,000 by Dobric and a call by Setna.

On the {j-Diamonds} river, Setna checked once more and Dobric emptied the clip with a shove for an effective 21,800,000. The Croatian had started the hand with just trey million more and that sent Setna into the tank for more than four minutes. He checked the cards and his remaining stack several times and eventually folded to stay in contention.

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Kenny Tran
Kenny Tran

Tom Kunze jammed in the small blind and Kenny Tran called all in for his 4,125,000 chips in the big blind.

Kenny Tran: {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Tom Kunze: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Tran was pipped and the {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop meant he was looking for a ten to improve to a straight. The {a-Hearts} turn provided chop outs, but the {k-Hearts} completed the board to give Kunze a flush, while Tran was eliminated in 17th place for $410,000.
